A young man arrested in the Harrow area is one of two held as part of an investigation into a fatal stabbing in Kilburn.
The 19-year-old was arrested yesterday afternoon on suspicion of the murder of Shaun Akanbi, who was found dead on Saturday December 22, and on suspicion of handling stolen goods. He is in custody at a north west London police station.
A 20-year-old has also been arrested in Camberwell on suspicion of the killing. He is in custody at a south London police station.
Detectives launched a murder investigation after police called to an address in Exeter Road, Kilburn at around 4.45pm on December 22 found a man suffering from multiple injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nobody else was at the address when police arrived.
A post-mortem examination on Wednesday December 26 gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds to the torso.
The dead man has been named as Moshood Abiola Akanbi, also known as Shaun Akanbi, 26, of Exeter Road, Kilburn.
An incident room has opened at Lewisham under Detective Chief Inspector Russell Taylor.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on December 24 on suspicion of handling stolen goods by police investigating the incident. He was released on bail until late January.
