Members of the Tamil community came together to dance and enjoy music at a traditional celebration.
Community groups turned out to the harvest festival, Thai Pongal, on Saturday evening in the Council Chamber in Harrow Civic Centre, Station Road.
The family-friendly celebration, which took place is an annual event held to honour the sun in the hope of a bountiful harvest in the year ahead.
Organised by the Harrow Tamil Community Association with support from Harrow Community Development Services, audience members were entertained with baraphanatis dancing, and musicians playing traditional instruments.
Special dishes were also prepared and shared with councillors and members of the public who attended the event.
