Characters from a graphic novel came to life as an American author visited a school as part of a London tour.
Year 8 students took a break from class as they welcomed American graphic novel writer Ian Lendler to Kingsbury High School.
The author made his return to Kingsbury after meeting his wife there several years ago, and making a visit to the school his sister-in-law attended.
He said: “Because of my personal connection to the Kingsbury area, I couldn't have been happier visiting Kingsbury High.
“It's huge, old, wildly diverse, chaotic and fun. Exactly like London.”
Mr Lendler, whose graphic novels are based on Shakespearean plays, explained to the students how graphic novels are put together and how the characters are created.
He also gave inside information on what it takes to get his books ready.
