A HARROW man has been accused of illegally recording hollywood blockbusters at a town centre cinema in what is believed to be a landmark case.
Emmanuel Nimley, 22, of Lincoln Road, faces allegations he filmed “The Bounty Hunter”, starring Jennifer Aniston, and other films at the Vue, in St George's Shopping Centre.
Police believe it is the first time anyone has been prosecuted with an offence of this kind.
He was bailed to return to Harrow Magistrates Court on August 18.
The film tells the story of a bounty hunter chasing his own ex-wife, a reporter played by the former Friends actress, for a £5,000 reward while at the same time she tracks a murder case.
The Bounty Hunter flopped at the box office but the chemistry between Aniston and co-star Gerard Butler attracted the attention of celebrity journalists who speculated about the possibility they were in a relationship.
The pair denied the rumours and said they were simply brought together by a good script.
