On Thursday, February 28, Pinner’s landmark AA Rosette Restaurant, Friends, is hosting a display of art by members of the Pinner Sketch Club.
The event celebrates the start of an ongoing collaboration between Pinner Sketch Club and Friends Restaurant to display and sell drawings, paintings and sculptures from local artists in the group.
Following the event, work by Pinner Sketch Club members will be on permanent display with a new selection every three months. Tickets are free and can be obtained at Eventbrite.
Friends Restaurant is nestled in a 500-year-old Tudor building on historic Pinner High Street.
Faisal Ansari ,one of the owners of Friends Restaurant says: “As an independent local restaurant, we wanted to use the historic setting of Friends to provide space for local artists to showcase their work. This arrangement will benefit the community and provide additional enjoyment for our customers.”
Pinner Sketch Club formed in 1942 as the Pinner North Civil Defence Sketch Club. Members enjoy a lively programme of activities which include workshops, demonstrations and guest lectures.
