Artists are being encouraged to put their finishing touches to their work, as the second Whitefriars Art Competition is closing next weekend.
The free-to-enter art competition for sixth form age young people in Harrow closes on Sunday, February 16.
Winners will receive a cash prize of £250 plus £250 worth of art products, with a £100 cash prize and £100 worth of art products going to two runners-up. The school, college or organisation that submits the most entries will also receive £250 worth of art products.
Shortlisted work will be exhibited at the Whitefriars Gallery in Harrow from Thursday, March 19, to Sunday, March 29.
Sixth formers can each submit up to two artworks. These can be from their existing portfolio and there is no given theme.
The competition, which returns this year after a successful inaugural run in 2019, is being supported by sponsorship from Culture Seeds, a Mayor of London grants initiative supporting local community-led cultural projects in the London Boroughs.
