Harrow Opera will be giving two concerts of operatic excerpts to celebrate the centenary years of the three great composers Verdi, Wagner and Britten.
It is 200 years since the births of the great composers Richard Wagner and Giuseppe Verdi and 100 years since the birth of the great British composer Benjamin Britten.
To celebrate these important milestones Harrow Opera are giving concerts of excerpts of their operas at St. John’s Church Hall, Northwoodand at St. Matthew’s Church, Eastbury Road, Oxhey.
It will be a real celebration of opera’s greatest hits with excerpts from Die Meistersinger, Die Walkure, Aida, Macbeth, Gloriana, La Traviata, Rigoletto, Peter Grimes and many more.
Tea and cakes will be available at the Sunday afternoon concert.
Harrow Opera’s Centenary Concert will be held at St John’s Church Hall, Northwood on Saturday, March 2 from 7.30pm and at St. Matthew’s Church, Eastbury Road, Oxhey on Sunday, March at 3pm.
