Harrow Art Society , the borough’s longest-running art group, holds its annual exhibition at Harrow Arts Centre this month.
Featuring a wide range of work by talented local artists, visitors will be able to view pastels, oils, watercolours, acrylics and mixed media pieces of many differing subjects.
HAS’ exhibition and programme manager, Margaret Mountstephens, says: “There’s all sorts of work. We’ve got a lot of new members and they’ll be exhibiting too. There aren’t as many traditional landscapes as there were when I joined 25 years ago!”
As well as featuring work by these new members, the exhibition will also pay tribute to members who have sadly passed away recently. Phyllis Harris died in February, while Mary Dixon passed away in May.
- Harrow Art Society’s annual exhibition is at the Corridor Gallery, Harrow Arts Centre, Uxbridge Road, Hatch End from Saturday, September 29 to Saturday, October 13. The exhibition will be officially opened by Harrow artist Jane McAdam Freud, at a private viewing on Friday, September 28 at 8pm. Details: Margaret on 020 8861 0093, www.harrowartsociety.co.uk
