Tribute from Les Herbert:
Cathy will be sadly missed. I knew Cathy as a friend that I talked to over the air waves. Her views and mine are very similar, both growing up a few years after the war years. We never had a lot, but made the best of what we had. Always had her family in mind. that was very important to her. Enjoyed seeing how her children and grand children made progress in school and work. Yes missed.

A truely original woman. Petite in body but big in personality. Who once you met would never forget. Her laugh was contagious and she wasn't afraid to speak her mind and if there were no words, her facial expressions spoke volumes lol. Many silly, funny hours shared and treasured memories made. Cath will be truely missed by anyone who knew her. Until we meet again to laugh the night away. Sweet dream. RIP Cath xx

We met a good few years ago, as I became member of the staff at our local pub, unsure what I was doing you took me under your wing "Caffy", showed me the ropes and became a good friend, we shared many laughs and got up to mischief, in turn becoming a formidable double act, you showed me great kindness and love and I will never forget that, it pains me you are gone, but I know your body, mind and soul are no longer suffering, which eases it somewhat, till we meet again, keep my cloud warm, more mischief is to be had my friend, x
