A 47-year-old from Stonebridge has been jailed for six years after he stabbed a man in the chest with a kitchen knife.
Lloyd Barrett, of Park Road, was sentenced at Harrow Crown Court for wounding with intent and dangerous driving.
At 9.30pm on October 7, 2011, Lloyd went to pick up his girlfriend from outside the Mistry Moons pub in Manor Park Road.
The girlfriend told him that a man had been harassing her.
This resulted in an argument between Lloyd and the victim who went to the passenger side of Lloyd’s car and banged on the bonnet.
Lloyd reversed the car onto the pavement and drove at the victim who had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
Later the same evening the victim was standing on Manor Park Road when Lloyd walked up to him and stabbed him in the left side of the chest with a large kitchen knife.
The man survived but had to be taken to hospital for treatment.
Following door to door enquiries Lloyd was arrested.
He was sentenced on November 2.
