Brent Borough Council has withdrawn gross misconduct allegations against its former director of finance.
In September allegations of gross misconduct were made against Clive Heaphy, who was, at the time, director of finance at the council.
He was suspended from the £135,105 a year role, which he had held since October 2010, while investigations were carried out.
The allegations have now been withdrawn but Mr Heaphy stood down on October 31.
In a statement the council said: “The Council wishes to announce that the allegations of gross misconduct against its director of finance and corporate service, Clive Heaphy, have been withdrawn.
“Mr Heaphy has decided, however, to voluntarily leave the Council's employment to pursue other career opportunities."
