The chairman of the Football Association will be attending a community football tournament on Monday.
David Bernstein will be visiting Harrow School for the tournament which is designed to promote community cohesion.
It will see teams from local Afghan, Somali and Pakistani youth groups play against boys from Harrow School on the school’s Football Lane pitches.
The event will be hosted by the school and by Mothers Against Gangs, a group formed earlier this year by mothers from Harrow’s Somali community in an attempt to combat gang culture.
Trophies will be awarded by Sky News presenter, Gillian Joseph, who is the patron of Mothers Against Gangs, and by former England player, Brendon Batson.
After the tournament the teams will share home-cooked foods prepared by some of the Somali and Afghan mothers.
Harrow Police’s Borough Commander, Chief Superintendent Dal Babu, said: "This promises to be a fantastic opportunity to showcase the excellent work of the Mothers Against Gangs project.
“We are grateful to Harrow School and are honoured that David Bernstein, Gillian Joseph and Brendon Batson will be all attending in person to see what will be a celebration of community cohesion and sport in Harrow."
