Continental flavours held sway when Harrow town centre played host to a three-day Christmas market at the weekend.
A European Christmas market took place in St Ann’s Road from Friday until Sunday, with stalls from all over the continent selling everything from cheese to arts and crafts.
On Saturday there was also a Song Festival in St John’s Road.
Professional, community and school groups sang Christmas carols and there was a surprise appearance by local X Factor hopefuls Mitsotu.
The market and song festival were organised by Harrow Borough Council and supported by the Mayor’s Outer London Fund, which aims to increase the vibrancy and growth of struggling high streets.
Harrow Council portfolio holder for planning and regeneration, Councillor Keith Ferry, said: "It was great to see a European Christmas market in Harrow.
“The market really created an exciting Christmas atmosphere in the borough in the run-up to the festive season.
“Supporting the town centre and local businesses is a top priority for the council, we are at the heart of our communities and we want them to thrive.”
