Police have been working with the public in a new campaign to help them protect their property and prevent burglaries.
Brent Police have teamed up with householders and property marking company SmartWater to help reduce the number of burglaries in the borough.
Officers have been making door-to-door visits to hotspot areas, offering people free burglary protection kits to help track their goods if they are stolen.
SmartWater contains a unique forensic code which can only be seen under ultraviolet light and enables property to be traced back to its owner.
Police will also be targeting pawnbrokers and second-hand shops to make sure they are not selling stolen goods and they hope the campaign will reduce crime and ensure prosecution of offenders.
