A group of 33 volunteers from the National Citizen Service helped paint a house for homeless young people on Saturday.
The volunteers painted the hallway of the Harrow house, which acts as a home for six people between the ages of 18 and 24.
The house is run by the charity Harrow Churches Housing Association.
Ophelia, assistant service manager for the Harrow Churches Housing Association’s Young People’s Service, said: ‘It’s wonderful for our young people to be inspired by the enthusiasm and motivation of the young volunteers, their energy is infectious.”
Jack, 19, a resident of the house said: “I think it is very nice that volunteers give up their Saturday when they don’t have to. The house looks better too.”
