An Edgware school welcomed a Paralympic athlete on Monday.
Middle distance runner, Tim Prendergast, visited Canons High School, in Shaldon Road, to run workshops with some of the students.
The athlete, who has competed in three Paralympic games, worked with students from Years 7, 8 and 9.
He shared stories with them of his Paralympic experiences and ran team building activities.
The visit was part of the Sky Sports Living for Sport project, a free secondary school initiative which uses sports stars to boost pupils’ confidence and improve academic attainment.
Canons High School is now looking forward to welcoming British boxer, Hannah Beharry, on December 20 as part of the project.
