Harrow Borough Council is celebrating “a list of successes” in Harrow schools.
Last year the council set up the Harrow School Improvement Partnership to improve education.
The partnership, which consists of the borough’s schools and the council, aims to help schools access the expertise and resources they need to improve.
Since it was established ten of the 13 schools inspected by Ofsted have either maintained their 'outstanding' status - the highest awarded - or been upgraded from 'good' to 'outstanding'.
The other three schools which have been inspected have either maintained their 'good' status or moved from 'satisfactory' to 'good'.
Portfolio holder for schools and colleges, Councillor Mitzi Green, said: “We have good reasons to celebrate the partnership’s successes over its first year.
“Our schools’ results are a fantastic testimony to our highly effective and successful partnership working.
“We will now be focussing our work on the improvements we can bring over the next 12 months.
“These include support for outstanding teaching and learning, more support for early years training and development and strengthening governance.”
Farzana Aldridge, who heads the partnership, added: "We are delighted by the success of the partnership over the last year and we look forward to continuing our work in partnership with schools and Harrow Council throughout the coming year and beyond."
