A boxer-turned-barrister is to be the guest of honour at a Wembley school’s award ceremony on Wednesday.
Alex Mehta, who captained Oxford University and then England at boxing and was World Light Middleweight Champion, will present the awards at Preston Manor School in Carlton Avenue East.
He will hand over awards to students for their successes in internal exams as the school celebrates its most successful year ever.
There will also be special prizes for students who have overcome adversity.
He will also give a talk which will aim to inspire the students to follow successful careers.
The ceremony will be attended by 150 pupils as well as parents and governors.
Mr Mehta said: "The head has done a brilliant job turning this school around.
"It is very important to inspire the students to do something meaningful and productive."
