People who need help heating their homes can get advice at a series of roadshows around Harrow this month.
Representatives of Harrow Housewarmers, which is run by Harrow Borough Council, Age UK Harrow, Citizens Advice Bureau, Harrow Association of Disabled People and NHS Harrow, will be on hand to offer advice on everything from energy efficiency to benefit entitlement.
Harrow Borough Council portfolio holder for environment and community safety Councillor Phillip O’Dell said: “These road shows are really good way for people in need to get the necessary support.
“As well as practical help which will see them through the rest of the winter, they will also be given tips which will last them for years to come.”
Harrow Housewarmers received funding of £82,065 from the Department of Health Warm Homes Healthy People fund, following on from a successful scheme last year.
It is designed to help those who need it most, with advice on how to stay warm, grants to help people heat their homes and emergency items for people with low incomes and in crisis.
