Members of a Synagogue were joined by an MP for an annual day of volunteering.
Bob Blackman MP joined members of Belmont United Synagogue in Stanmore for this year’s national Mitzvah Day.
Children and adults from the community joined together for an environmental clean-up, tidying the streets and pathways near the Vernon Drive Synagogue, to make the area safer and more pleasant.
Mr Blackman, who represents Harrow East, said: “It was brilliant to see the Jewish community coming together and volunteering their services and I was delighted to be a part of it.”
Children of the synagogue helped make gifts for the Jewish charity Norwood UK to help vulnerable children and people with learning difficulties.
