Commuters will be able to pick up their shopping from two Underground stations as part of a trial by Transport for London.

People will be able to pick up their supermarket shopping at the car parks of Stanmore station and Harrow and Wealdstone station.

TfL is working in partnership with Asda to offer people the click and collect service from six stations, including East Finchley, High Barnet, Highgate, and Epping.

Customers will have to order online during the day and pick up the shopping from the supermarket’s vehicles in the car parks after 4pm.

Graeme Craig from TfL says the new trial is one of the ways the company has been looking to improve services for customers.

If successful the trial could lead to other companies offering similar services at stations across London.
