A dozen schools in Harrow have been recognised for their commitment to providing inclusive PE lessons for all.
The schools have been given the School Games Kitemark, part of the Government’ s school games programme to get all children active.
St John Fisher Catholic School, St Bernadette's Catholic School, and West Lodge Primary School were all awarded gold awards for their work encouraging pupils to take part in targeted extracurricular clubs.
Harrow Borough Council's cabinet member for schools Cllr Janet Mote said: “It is fantastic news that our schools have been awarded the School Games Kitemark award with three of the twelve receiving gold.
“We are committed to providing sports for all pupils and to help keep youngsters active, involved and live a healthier lifestyle.
“The award reinforces our commitment with the excellent work being done in offering sporting opportunities for children. It is also pleasing to see youngsters enjoy and engage in sports.”
