A man is in hospital after he was stabbed in an attack by three men in a late-night attack.

The 25-year-old man sustained serious abdominal injuries in the attack in Rowe Walk, South Harrow at 1.20am on Monday morning.

The man had been walking back from a petrol station in Field End Road with a 21-year-old woman.

On their way along Tithe Farm Avenue they passed a man who was walking in the other direction.

When the pair reached the address in Rowe Walk they heard heavy footsteps and were attacked by three men who pushed the victim to the ground and attacked him with an unknown weapon.

He was taken to a west London Hospital where he had emergency surgery to a wound in his abdomen. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police in Harrow are looking to trace the three men involved in the attack.

One suspect is described as black, 5ft 4ins tall, between 20 and 30years old with black afro hair and wearing a black hooded top and dark trousers.

The two other men are described as black males and were wearing black clothing.

Detective Sergeant James Griffin, who is leading the investigation, said: "This was an extremely violent attack and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed it to come forward.

“I am also appealing to any witnesses who may have seen the victim and his female companion walk along Eastcote Lane in the early hours of Monday 25 November on their way to or from the petrol station.

"I would also be interested to hear from anyone who happened to be in this location at this time; they could hold some vital information they are not aware of that could assist with this investigation."

Police are calling for anyone with any information are being called to get in contact.
