A pair of students won gold for their robotics project at national college competition.
Ahmed Ali, 18 from Harrow, and Angelo Chrishanth, 19, from Wembley, students at The College of North West London won gold at the WorldSkills UK competition.
The pair were two of six students from the college who won awards at the competition last week where institutions from around the country battle it out in disciplines from forensic science to floristry.
Tutor Sanyaade Adekoya said: “I am so pleased for them both as they have been preparing for this all year, coming in to extra sessions outside their normal classes, and they have been very dedicated.
Fellow student Mihai Sucitu, 25, from Kingsbury, also won Gold in the web development category.
His tutor Ali Sharif, said: “Since the heats back in May, Mihai’s work has shown a huge improvement. He even included some programming which was beyond the expectations of the competition and he really wowed the judges.
