An international doughnut firm will prove it does not have a hole at its heart by making a donation to a Harrow charity when it marks its return to the UK today.
Dunkin' Donuts will present a cheque to Kenton-based St Luke's Hospice when it opens its first outlet in the UK in 20 years in St Ann's Road, Harrow.
As well as representatives from the hospice, Harrow Mayor Councillor Nana Asante and Dunkin' Brands general manager Jim Johnstone will attend the grand opening from 1.30pm to 5pm.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 2pm, with live entertainment and giveaways for customers.
The company closed its UK outlets in the mid-1990s, but plans to open 50 franchised restaurants around the capital, initially focusing on north and east London, and 150 restaurants around the UK over the next five years.
The firm says the shop will sell dishes specially created for the UK market among its menu of doughnuts, muffins, tea and coffee, as well as frozen drinks, croissants and sandwiches.
