Customers will be able to send letters and parcels later into the day after an MP officially opened a newly renovated post office.
Gareth Thomas MP cut the ribbon at South Harrow post office yesterday after a two-week refurbishment of the Northolt Road branch.
The work was carried out as part of the Post Office’s plans to modernise its network and the branch includes new counters and longer opening hours.
Mr Thomas said: "I welcomed the news that South Harrow post office was to be modernised and I am delighted to be here today.
"The post office is vital to the community around South Harrow and I'm sure the new improved office, and significantly longer opening hours from early morning to late at night, will be warmly welcomed by all of my constituents."
The post office also has a new conversation room has been added to allow customers and staff to talk privately about financial issuess and services.
It is now open Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 11pm and Sundays from 9am to 11pm.
