A school has been awarded for being placed in the top 20 per cent of the country for test results and pupil progression.
Bentley Wood High School in Stanmore has been awarded SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards for the ‘outstanding progress’ of pupils in their GCSE results.
The school received its award as part of a ceremony at The St Marylebone CE School in London, earlier this week.
Chief executive of SSAT Sue Williamson said: “These schools should be congratulated for their exceptional achievement.
“They have proved themselves to be leading the field in improving GCSE outcomes for their students.
“These results are testament to the commitment and hard work of the students, teachers and leadership teams, and show what can be achieved when skilled teachers have high expectations and ambition for every young person.”
