A man was attacked by group of five men in a 'vicious unprovoked assault’ in a town centre.
Police were called to reports of an assault in Station Road, Harrow, on Sunday May 11 at 11.27pm.
Officers found a 29-year-old man being treated by the London Ambulance Service after he was attacked by five men, all believed to be of Romanian origin.
The victim was treated for abdominal injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.
Detective Sergeant James Griffin, Harrow CID, sad: "At this stage of our inquires, this looks like a vicious unprovoked assault on a lone male which has left him with injuries that will keep him in hospital for the next few days.
“I am eager to trace the assailants before another attack with a potentially more serious outcome occurs."
Police are calling for anyone with any information about the attack to get in contact.
