David Cameron and Boris Johnson stopped to help a woman who had collapsed in the street during their visit to Harrow this morning.
The Prime Minister and Mayor of London stopped the car they were travelling in after seeing the woman fall to the ground in Sheepcote Road at 11.15am.
Paramedic Dominic Stark, who attended the scene, said: “The Prime Minister and Boris Johnson had pulled over when they noticed a woman collapsed on the street.
“When I arrived a few minutes later, I found the PM holding the woman’s hand. I took over caring for the patient and they left a few minutes later.”
The London Ambulance Service said the woman was taken to hospital.
Mr Cameron and Mayor Johnson were in the area on a planned visit to Harrow College to meet teenagers training for work in the construction industry.
Their response caused them to arrive late at the college.
The Conservative politicians later went on a walkabout through the town with Harrow Council leader Susan Hall.
