A man has been jailed for 12 months after he was caught with drugs in a concealed compartment of a bottle.
Tanvir Singh Osahan, 26, of Kenton Road, Harrow, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply drugs when he appeared at Harrow Crown Court yesterday.
In April he and a group of other men were stopped and searched by police in Kenton Road following complaints about drug dealing in the area.
Officers examined the drinks bottle Osahan was holding at the time, which appeared to be normal.
But after further examination, police found it was fake with a hidden compartment within the middle which contained nine wraps of cannabis.
He was arrested and after searching his home police found three similar bottles, all containing wraps of cannabis.
A total of 27 wraps were found and a large quantity of cash was also seized.
Detective Constable Paul Connelly of Brent Police said: "I am pleased with the result at court today.
“Osahan thought he had the perfect hiding place for his drugs, but when he was stopped and searched it became very clear to us that there was something not quite right with the bottle.
“Let this be a lesson to other drug dealers, that however and wherever you try conceal your drugs we are on to you and we will take all steps necessary to seize your money and assets obtained through crime."
