A triathlon for competitors of all ages helped raise more than £3,000 for a hospice charity.
More than 500 people from the age of eight to 83 took part in the competition at Hatch End Swimming pool and around the grounds of Harrow Arts centre in Uxbridge Road.
Money raised from the challenge raised from the charity will go to St Luke’s Hospice, which provides care to patients with terminal illness in Harrow and Brent.
The event was organised by company Everyone Active, which manages the borough’s leisure facilities, and Jetstream Tri Club.
Manager Laura Griffiths said: “We were more than happy to host the swimming element of the event and it was a joy to see so many people of all ages and abilities taking part and having fun.
“Triathlon is growing in popularity and these events provide an ideal opportunity for people to try their hand at the sport and build confidence.
“There were some brilliant performances on the day and I’d like to congratulate everyone who joined in and helped raised a fantastic amount of money for St Luke’s.”
