A series of events celebrating black music from around the world have been announced.
The annual British Black Music Month will be launched as part of the Mayor of Harrow’s Community Open Day at Harrow Civic Centre on May 31.
The month of events will take place throughout June and into July and will celebrate domestic black music and aims to give up and coming artists a better understand the music industry and network.
At the launch there will be stalls selling CDs and vinyl records, arts and crafts and storytelling and a crafts workshop for children and teenagers with money raised going towards the mayor’s chosen charities.
