Runners put on their capes for a Super Hero Run to raise money for a hospital foundation.
The 17 runners, all teachers from Marlborough Primary School, in Harrow, took on the run in Regents Park last week for the St Mark's Hospital Foundation, at Northwick Park.
They were inspired by teacher May Goh's daughter Stephanie Chin, who was a patient at the hospital, which specialises in intestinal diseases.
Ms Chin was treated for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome at the hospital by Dr Simon Gabe since October 2013.
Stephanie said: "Dr Gabe is not a typical doctor. He encourages me to be honest, listens to me and values my opinion.
"I am included in the decision-making process and my parents and I have the opportunity to ask questions. He is my friend, as well as my doctor.
"I feel that a lot of my optimism has come from Dr Gabe's dedication and passion for what he does, as he always manages to portray everything in a positive light in such a believable and genuine way, as if he were in my position."
Runners are now collecting sponsorship money which will go to St Mark's Hospital Foundation which is a charity supporting the work on the site in Harrow which is one of the world's leading institutions for the treatment of bowel diseases.
