Community groups are being offered grants to help train volunteers to run their organisations.
The Big Lottery cash has been secured by Voluntary Action Harrow to pay for the training for five Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic volunteer-led groups in Harrow.
The money will training will cover several areas vital to the running of community groups including volunteer management, needs assessment, funding applications and marketing.
A Voluntary Action Harrow spokesman said: “We're really delighted to announce this new project.
"At a time where funding is low and demand for charitable services is increasing, support to local voluntary and community organisations can really help them grow and increase their social impact."
