As both councillors for and residents of Kenton West ward, we are encouraged at how quickly the extra investment the Conservatives have put into keeping Harrow clean has had an impact — particularly around Honeypot Lane, which we both use regularly.
The investment of £500,000 in street cleaning, beat-sweeping and other public realm services specifically designed to keep Harrow clean and looked after was included in our council budget, which was passed in February.
However, we know from talking to many residents that they are particularly worried about fly-tipping.
We therefore would encourage anyone to report instances of fly-tipping as soon as they notice them; either to the council directly, to their ward councillors, or to their Neighbourhood Champion.
Reports are confidential, so any information on who is responsible can help catch those who blight our streets and communities with this despicable behaviour.
Working together in this way, we can deliver a cleaner, safer and fairer Harrow for everyone.
Councillors Vina Mithani & Yogesh Teli
Con/Kenton West ward,
Harrow Borough Council
