A team of cycling enthusiasts are gearing up for a 100km night bike ride to raise money for a special needs charity.
The six friends from Stanmore will be joining an 18-strong team to take part in the London Nightrider event next month to raise money for charity Kisharon.
The team will be starting their ride on the night of Saturday June 7, cycling through the streets of the capital, and will finish in the early hours of the morning on June 8.
Lighting company director Charles Barnett, 57, who will be taking part in the ride, said: "I've no idea why I'm doing this, except it's for a good cause.
"I love a new challenge so I'm excited by the prospect of a night ride. Sadly, no-one will be cheering me on - because they'll all be asleep."
The charity helps and supports people with learning difficulties and their families in the Jewish community.
