Script editor Emma Freud, who worked on box office hits Notting Hill and Love Actually, gave college students an insight into the world of film.
The question and answer session with Harrow College students, at its Harrow Weald campus, was organised by film and education charity Into Film.
Ms Freud is the partner and collaborator of writer and director Richard Curtis and edited scripts of British romantic comedies Four Weddings and a Funeral, Bridget Jones’ Diary and Love Actually.
Student David Trowbridge, 17, said; “Emma’s talk was really valuable. We got an insight from a professional who works in the industry and what she said will be really helpful in the long term.
“She gave really good advice about getting into acting, and to graduates who are looking for work about how we can get a foot in the door. It was all really inspirational.”
Into Film aims to educate children and teenagers across the country through films, giving them the chance to watch and discuss movies, as well as offering professional training to make their own.
