A chef has wowed judges to make it into the final of a national competition for the second year running.
Viviane Takemoto, chef manager at Haven Residential Care Home, in Hatch End, will battle it out against eight others from across the country in the final of Sanctuary Care’s Chef of the Year.
On competition day next month she will have to create a main course and dessert which are suitable for people in a care setting.
On winning her place in the final she said: “Care catering doesn’t always get a lot of recognition so this competition is a great way to raise awareness of the quality and talents of care chefs.
“I am delighted to be in the final of the competition again this year and have really enjoyed putting a creative menu together for the event - I will be doing my best to wow the judges.”
