A law firm has been exercising mind and body in preparation for a quiz to raise money for charity.
Scott-Moncrieff Associates is the latest law firm to sign up to the MasterMind in Harrow competition.
The battle of wits between six law firms will take place next year and has been organised by mental health charity Mind in Harrow in partnership with the Harrow Times.
The team includes Corinne Singer, a part-time judge and unit supervisor, Christine Deacon, also unit supervisor unit and consultants, Lisa Vaughan and Morag McNiven.
The team of four have been calling in favours from friends, family members and colleagues to raise the £1,200 entry fee for the competition.
Ms Singer, team captain, said: “We have not yet needed to send round the boys, but if it comes to it, we do have contacts.”
As well exercising their minds, the team have also been exercising their bodies in preparation for the quiz competition.
The captain said: “Christine has been running marathons and Lisa has been long-distance cycling. Morag has been worrying. As a judge, I have been sitting, of course.”
The latest MasterMind in Harrow competition comes after the success of the first quiz among six schools in Harrow, which raised more than £7,000 for the mental health charity.
Next year’s competition will take place in February at the historic Grims Dyke Hotel where the legal teams will pit their wits against one another in a University Challenge-style quiz.
