Lawyers put their heads together as they battled it out to be crowned MasterMind 2015.
A total of six solicitors firms and one barrister’s chambers took part in the contest held yesterday at the Grims Dyke hotel in Old Redding, which was organised by charity Mind in Harrow and sponsored by the Harrow Times.
Following the success of last year’s event, which was attended by six schools across the borough and raised £6,000 for the charity, Mind selected teams of solicitors to get involved in the competition.
Taking part this year were teams of four from DH Law, 9 Bedford Row, Duncan Lewis, Harold Benjamin, Guile Nicholas, Scott-Moncrieff Associates and Blavo & Co Solicitors.

Hosted by quizmaster Patrick Upward QC, of 9 Bedford Row, the teams were tested on a variety of subjects - including English, science, history, geography, music and law – before contestants went head to head in a final general knowledge buzzer round.
Questions included 'Who wrote The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' and 'Who composed the Minute Waltz', with the funniest and worst answers been read out after each round.
A team from Harold Benjamin Solicitors were crowned overall winners with 134 points.
Harrow Times deputy editor Michael Pickard presented the team with their trophy.
Team captain Chris Sayers said: “I think we’re more relieved than anything. It was a lot of fun and these things never start off competitive, but once we took a lead at the beginning none of us wanted to lose it.
“You definitely know more when you’re ten than you do at our age. We’re constantly busy, but we brought a team that was well balanced for all the rounds.
“Who’s going to keep the trophy is the question - we’ll definitely all be fighting over it. And we’ll have to carry out some risk assessments before we go running up and down the corridors shouting about our victory.”
9 Bedford Row were runners up, only four points behind the winners.
Best mascot was jointly awarded to DH Law, for their dog Scrappy Doo, and 9 Bedford Row for their wig-wearing skull.
Scott Moncrieff was presented with the prize for raising the most money, bringing in a total of £1,315.
More than £8,500 was raised at the event, with teams raising a minimum of £1,200 for Mind in Harrow.
It costs the charity £1,200 to help train six volunteers to run its helpline for one year, while £280 can fund an outing for up to 12 people to help increase their social confidence.
