With one month to go before the General Election, the Harrow Times is looking at the contenders for each seat.
Harrow West, which has a recorded electorate of 69,135, is made up of the nine electoral wards of Greenhill, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Headstone North and South, Marlborough, Rayners Lane, Roxbourne, Roxeth and West Harrow.
The seat has returned Labour Party MP Gareth Thomas, who will also stand as this year’s Labour candidate, since 1997.
It is being targeted by the Conservatives, and contesting the seat is Tory candidate Hannah David, a former Hertsmere councillor and small business owner.
The Green Party’s Rowan Langley, an electrical engineer and trade union official, Liberal Democrat Chris Noyce and UKIP’s Mohammed Ali Bhatti will also stand for the seat.
