Last week, Harrow Borough Council used its machines to cut the grass verges in my street and at Harrow Weald Recreation Ground.
And as on every previous occasion, council staff did not pick up any litter before cutting the grass.
This resulted in bottles and tins being crushed into dangerous small shards; threatening children and animals.
All the previous litter, which required just one collection, now requires several.
I have been asking the council for years to collect the litter first, but every time it says it cannot alter the work schedules to enable this. We pay for this madness.
