Pupils showed their true colours as they joined hands to create a bright human rainbow.
Julie and Gary Phelan, of Hermitage Way, Stanmore, set up charity Ali's Dream after losing their only daughter Alison to a brain tumour in June 2001, just three weeks before her eighth birthday.
To celebrate what would have been Ali’s 22nd birthday this year, pupils from her former school St Joseph’s Primary School, in Dobbin Close, Belmont, showed off their best dance moves as they celebrated her life on Friday, June 26.
Dressed in their brightest clothing, pupils were organised by colour to form a rainbow of children in the playground.
A spokesman for the charity said: “Every year St Joseph's school does an amazing job of supporting us in the week of Alison's birthday.
“The support that is shown helps us through a time that is so hard to bear.
“The children enter into the spirit of the day and a good time is had by all.
“To the children and parents who raise so much money and really do make the day, thank you for helping us fight the fight against this awful illness. Together we will find a cure.”
