A man needed stitches after he was slashed across the face by a thug with a hunting knife in Northolt.
The man was standing on Shadwell Drive when he was approached by a group of men on bicycles.
CCTV footage shows the knifeman approaching with his hands behind his back before leaning over a bush and slicing the victim.
He then retreats, shouting at the man and pointing the knife at him before leaving the scene with several other people, although their faces are not visible in the footage.
The attack happened at around 6pm on Sunday, May 1.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, received stitches to the injury on his left cheek at an east London hospital.
The alleged attacker is described as a black man wearing blue jeans, a blue jumper and black jacket.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the attack to come forward.
