Harrow Art Society is the oldest surviving art society in north west London. It was founded in 1934 to promote interest in the arts in the Harrow area.
Membership is open to artists from all disciplines in visual art who then participate in the two annual exhibitions, held in Harrow Arts Centre and Stanmore Library.
They will be holding their spring exhibition at the arts centre this month, opening on Sunday March 5 and closing on Saturday, March 18.
It is featuring paintings, sculpture, and mixed media from the members including Roy Rodgers, Cheryl Gould, Marcia Kuperberg, Linda Zelin, Gordon Adams, Jonathan Hutchins, Bhavisha Mehta, Kavita Sagar and Cookie White.
The society is made up of professional and semi-pro artists, some very gifted amateurs, as well as people who have only recently become interested in art and like the idea of getting together with like-minded people to see if they can have a go.
