An 87-year-old woman has been taken to hospital following a daylight handbag snatch in Harrow.
At around 1pm on Thursday April 20, the woman was attacked from behind by a male suspect who snatched her bag in College Road, Harrow Weald.
Passers-by intervened and recovered the victim's bag, and the suspect fell to the ground as they sought to detain him. However he was able to break free and escape.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to bruising and a cut to her forehead. She has since been discharged from hospital.
