A man has been convicted of committing sex attacks on "lone females late at night" in Harrow last year.
Sinuthujaan Yoganathan, 32, of St Margaret's Avenue, Harrow was found guilty of five sexual assaults and one attempted sexual assault on June 5 following a three week trial at Isleworth Crown Court.
The court heard that between April 2016 and July 2016 five women were sexually assaulted, as well as one attempted sexual assault, in the Perivale, Northolt and Harrow areas, with Mr Yoganathan "targeting lone females late at night."
The attacks were linked by the method and description of the suspect, but while there was no DNA evidence recovered that could identify him a white Audi A6 saloon was traced and led to the arrest.
Detective Inspector Tom Williams, who led the investigation, said:
"I am pleased with this guilty verdict, especially for the brave victims who had to suffer Yoganathan's attacks. I would like to thank them for their courage throughout our investigation and this prosecution.
"It is possible that there may be other, unreported victims of Yoganathan, or even similar attacks. I hope this conviction shows victims that we will do all we can to bring serious offenders in these cases before a court."
The police also found a distinctive Scotland football shirt at Mr Yoganathan's home, which was connected to an assault on July 10.
Mr Yoganathan, according to the Met Police, gave "different versions of events" at trial to his initial police individual and blamed someone else when shown CCTV footage of an attack, though he later admitted he was in the footage.
He will be sentenced at the court on 28 July.
