Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson joined care home residents for a special afternoon of tea and cake.
Mr Johnson visited the people living at Whitby Dene care home in Whitby Road in Eastcote.
He was invited by the hospice to hear the residents talk about their memories of the local area and their experiences of Eastcote.
Saad Baig, Whitby Dene home manager, said: “we were delighted to be joined by such a notable figure from the community.”
The senior Conservative also took a walk around the area guided by the residents themselves.
“It was an honour to welcome Boris Johnson to Whitby Dene for an enjoyable afternoon,” said Mr Baig.
He continued: “There was a real buzz among the residents when the visit was announced, and everyone was looking forward to showing him around the home.”
Whitby Dene provides residential and specialist dementia care, as well as short term respite care.
