A BRENT organisation is hosting an evening of poetry, music and discussion about the abolition of the slave trade.
BTWSC, a community education group, is holding Abolition Truths at the Harrow Civic Centre. It is aiming to break some of the myths associated with slavery and highlight the role of African abolitionists in the fall of the slave trade.
It is being held on Wednesday, October 24, and will feature music telling the story of slavery plus a specially-composed poem by teenager Stefan Testsola.
The evening is open to everyone from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, admission free. To book a place, email info@btwsc.com
