Golfers will have to relocate their usual grounds as a golf centre is unfortunately closing with immediate effect.
Stanmore and Edgware Golf Centre has announced yesterday (October 7) that it closed with immediate effect and ceased to continue trading.
Regular members of the centre were shocked after they were notified about the closure via an SMS alert, while the centre addressed a public letter on their website to explain more.
The golf centre, which has been open for nearly 25 years, wrote: “There are new owners of the freehold and despite positive negotiations, belief in assurances given that the centre would be allowed to continue to operate and terms agreed, we have now been informed that this will not now happen and with the lease being terminated, the centre has had to close.”
Any GolfCard holders of the golf centre with unused credit in their account can transfer their remaining credits starting from today (October 18) to the A1 Golf Activity Centre, Arkley, which is also located near Borehamwood.
Credits are eligible to be transferred to the A1 Golf Activity Centre loyalty scheme up until December 31, 2019. It has been confirmed that no cash refunds will be issued from Stanmore and Edgware Golf Centre or A1 Golf Activity Centre.
